What Does the Bible Say About True Riches?

How blessed is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding.  For its profit is better than the profit of silver, and its gain than fine gold.  She is more precious than jewels; and nothing you desire compares with her.  Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.  Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.  She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, and happy are all who hold her fast. (Proverbs 3:13-18).

Take my instruction, and not silver, and knowledge rather than choicest gold.  For wisdom is better than jewels; and all desirable things can not compare with her. (Proverbs 8:10-11).

The law of Thy mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces. (Psalm 119:72).

The ordinances of the LORD are sure and altogether righteous.  They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb.  By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. (Psalm 19:9-11, NIV).
