That which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God. (Luke 16:15).
Do not bring a detestable thing into your house or you, like it, will be set apart for destruction. (Deuteronomy 7:26, NIV).

For it is inevitable that stumbling blocks come, but woe to that man through whom the stumbling block comes!…And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out, and throw it from you. It is better for you to enter life with one eye, than having two eyes, to be cast into the fiery hell. (Matthew 18:7,9).
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. (Romans 12:2).
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things. (Philippians 4:8).
