Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6).
These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. (Deuteronomy 6:6-7).
Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law. They are not just idle words for you—they are your life. By them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess. (Deuteronomy 32:46-47, NIV).
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger; but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:4).
I have chosen [Abraham], in order that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice. (Genesis 18:19).
